Why live in care?

We Provide Care

When people get to the stage of life where they start to need either some assistance with day to day living, or just feel vulnerable living alone, remaining in their own home whenever possible is most people’s first preference.

By staying in your own home you are able to keep around you much that is of meaning and value – such as pets, your garden, your friends, hobbies and interests. You also retain most control over your own life and how you pass your time. By bringing the care to you we will enable you to continue to enjoy your lifestyle, while assisting you in all the areas you are no longer able to manage.

Quality Assurance

Goldfinch Care assures you peace of mind in the knowledge that our professional ways of working, and carefully recruited and trained carers will provide a high standard of care. We value your choice and preference and aim to promote your independence.

What People Say

Dear P

Thank you so very much for your kind card to the family – you know mother adored you. I was going through a file of hers ‘personal’ and in it were some interesting things, but she had kept a letter you had sent to her ‘The old girl has style.’ She certainly treasured it, and so will I.

absolutely perfect for mum at the stage her illness was at. She quietly cared for her, without being too invasive or controlling for Mum’s independent nature.

Once again, many thanks P, for making it possible for us to keep Mum safe and loved in her own home to the end.

Dear P

I am most grateful to you for providing excellent care for my mother in her final days recently. Firstly, we had A, who was excellent and we got on very well with her and she was very caring and considerate in how she looked after my mother.

Then we had A, who also was excellent and had to deal with things at the end. We liked A very much as well and she could not have done more to make my mother’s final days as comfortable as possible. With your help I am very happy that we managed to achieve what we wanted which was a peaceful and dignified end to my mother’s life on her own terms at home with us all around. It really did make all the difference.

Dear P

I just wanted to thank you for the card that you sent, but most of all to thank you for the wonderful carers you provided us with for Mum.

P was absolutely perfect for Mum at the stage her illness was at. She quietly cared for her, without being too invasive or controlling for Mum’s independent nature. They enjoyed art together, and Pippa played the piano to Mum. She was such a sweet young woman and won all of our affection

Once again, many thanks P, for making it possible for us to keep Mum safe and loved in her own home to the end. With very best wishes

Dear P

C called you her ‘marvellous carer’ and we all agree with her. The quiet thoughtful care that you gave to C is much appreciated by us all. We feel so lucky to have found you to help during C’s final week.

Many thanks for your kindness

Dear P

I am grateful to you for your letter and your kind words which I have relayed to G as well. It was a pity that the last few years were so difficult for my mother but I know the time was made more bearable by your involvement in rather difficult circumstances. I appreciate and thank you for your efforts. Sadly, my mother was in many ways a shadow of her former self in her last few years, but I am glad something of her character shone through and gave all of us, including her, bright moments and pleasure.
